Well that's August out of the way :-) 5 more miles today.

My legs are telling me to have a rest tomorrow - so that's how I'm going to pinch punch the month in.

Jinx is coming home on the 14 September - can't wait. And to answer JogBlogs question "I want a cat like that, where do I get one from" I did a quick search on the internet and found a local breeder (well as local as I could) and went to meet them... She and the rest of her family are cool and the cats are mad since then we've stalked her ever since.

It's only 48 days until we go to Florida :-D YAH!

Well that's another bank holiday season done and finished :-/ but the weather was great :-D

Got back to work and managed to get out for a cheeky 5 miles.

Preston still needs to hop on the training soon - 3 weeks to go for the half and he hasn't run for 2 weeks... error!

For some reason I couldn't sleep last night so decided to get up early and go for a run. I did 7 miles, I was going to do more but managed to twist my ankle.

Didn't anyone tell the weather Gods that it's a bank holiday Monday - It's still HOT.

The car boot sale on Saturday went well (very tiring though) and we raised some much needed cat funds. The rest of the weekend has been spent cleaning, going to the tip, cutting lawns, washing cars, horse riding, jogging, fitting doors and a little drinking.

The team day out was fun - rounders in the park and a picnic (the sun even shined)

Then came the evening/leaving do/drinks/cheesy club :-D I had one or two cheeky drinks ;-) and ended up going to bed at 3.00am.

The alarm went off and up I got at 7.00am and went for a woozy 4 miles - then in to work.

Now we are packing al the crap we cleared out ready for tomorrows car boot fest.

London and back in a day for work and also time for a run... That's what getting up a 5.30am will do for ya.

London is hassletastic - respect to everyone that still lives and works there - it's just wrong. And note to myself always check that you have packed your ipod before going on another 6 hour trip... at least I had my DS.

As regards the train trip - boy! there was a Doctor that got on and spoke openly about people that he had seen that day and also lots of office politics - just a word to the wise if you go to Kettering hospital and went today for a chat about your 6 bottles of wine a day drink problem, your Dr was taking the p*ss out of you on the train to Leicester and you may want to sue the tw*t!

Running wise this week is going to stink - trips to London, a team day out and also my mates leaving do = late nights, alcohol and fuddle.

Hoping to get some running in tomorrow then a late nighter, Thursday will be a 5am finish...eeekkkk. I have got to pull some miles over the weekend to get back on track.

Jinx update :-D great news we can have him come to stay soon - for about 3 weeks before we go on holiday then back to the breeders whilst we are away - the LP is going to POP!

Busy Busy at Jog towers again - cleaning and more cleaning. We are nearly 100% crap free. I came across a binbag full of doodles :-) took some pictures and uploaded them over on flickr if you want to have a look - some are old some are new.

Managed to sneak off for a cheeky 4 miles.

The trouble with drinking 3 glasses of red wine on a friday night (2 of them before dinner) is it's hard to get your ass out of bed on a saturday morning for a run.

Another day another dollar - Well busy again at work :-/ But I've got next Monday off to take the SP out for a Daddy daughter day... can't wait.

Speaking of the SP - she is feeling a lot better today, and would like to say thanks for all the well wishes she received.

The little person has been back to the hospital and it seems she has a nasty stomach bug - so it's more meds and hopefully she will get better. On the plus side she seems happier already.

Thanks to everyone for all the good wishes - I relayed them over and it cheered her up no end :-D

The Ssssh part of the blog is that her birthday present came today (thank you Mr ebay). The great thing is that she thinks that we can;t get her one because we are having the kitten :-D We can't wait to see her face. I really want it for ME... check out how cool it is here.

Knackered!

After a lovely Long day at work, I got home to be met with the small person crying in pain with stomach ache. We have just got back in from visiting the hospital :-/ she seems to be ok and has some medicine so hopefully it will help (she has to go back tomorrow).

But waiting in the hospital for 3 hours sure isn't fun.

Managed to get a run in at lunchtime - 5 miles. Now it's time to try and eat something before going to bed then getting up early for work...Yipeeee!

Just got back from a late night flying visit to see the "Jinx" - he is growing up very quick, the small person is 100% smitten.

We stayed up late last night, laying on the trampoline watching the meteor shower (it was fantastic) - but it was a right struggle getting up for work this morning.

Preston and I got out for a lunchtime 4 miles - more of the same tomorrow.

‘You will get square eyes if you watch too much TV’ – remember when your parents used to give you this warning when you were little. Well they were right! My eyes felt like they were going to pop yesterday after ‘StarWarsAthon’. We headed out over to our friends house and got there for 8.00am. Watched Episode 1 – no worries. But I have to confess we couldn’t do all 6 films in 1 go. By 8.30pm we had only watched 1,2,3 and 4. We threw the towel in, and decided that we would save Empire and Jedi for another session. All in all though it was a great day, the small person loved it.

There’s lots of little things that I hadn’t noticed before – like Anakin’s shadow that looked like Vader on the side of the house on tatooine – the deathstar plans spinning on the wall and the biggest one – that Anakin didn’t have a father but was formed from the force and metachlorines – cool.

Seeing as all I did was watch TV yesterday I got up a 6.30am this morning and went for a 10 mile run.

Now on with the Sunday chores…

The weather is spanking still, just our luck - tomorrow is 'StarWarsathon' we are attempting to watch all 6 movies back to back, so no running will be had as we have to leave our house at 7.30am to get over to the venue.

Day 122

Phewwwww! it's still so hot at the moment :-D LOVE IT!

Preston and I headed out for a cheeky lunchtime jaunt. The heat was a bit of a breaker... but we dragged our sorry asses around 4 sweaty miles.

I'm really looking forward to this years Robin Hood as I've never run a half with someone before. And seeing as I'm a slow runner I'm hoping it turns out to be a more social affair :-D Hopefully Kate won't mind running my pace at the TOT later this year.

Ps SMILES all round for us - it's only 69 days until our trip across the pond.

:-) Well managed a couple of runs today.

Run 1 was on my own sans iPod and I did 5 miles (very pleasant to hear the traffic)

Run 2 with running club after work, which turned out to be 2 of us for a cheeky 3 miles. So all in all a good jogging day and 8 tidy miles.

PS Kate - I was right about the rides :-D

I listened to my ankle and the comments on yesterdays post and took the day off from running today. I'm going to try and do 10-12 miles tomorrow as I really need to get a long run in.

Spoke to the breeders today and Jinx is becoming a nutter already :-D He is climbing all over the show - looking forward to seeing him this weekend. The small person looks like her head might pop, Disney and a cat coming up...

Monday already :-/

The weekend flew past at incredible speed as always seems to be the case.

Back out for work early and straight in to it.

The Preston managed to remember his running kit so we took advantage of the spanking hot weather and put in a blogtastic 4 miles. We need to put in some more miles this month, more than normal as the Robin Hood is fast approaching. To help with this my ankle has started to tweak... fingers crossed.

Sunday update.

'Surfs Up' the movie is ACE! :-D if you like surfing you'll love it, very funny and cleverly put together.

The weather has stayed amazing all day - so got some more chores done (it's never ending) and popped out for a brisk 4 miles and cooled down with a splashtastic water fight :-)

Now just making home made pizza and ready for a red wine.

Also made this for a friend - it's something he keeps drawing all the time, Hope he likes it.

Well got up early (well for a Sunday 7.00am) but didn't go out for a run... still sorting the house out :-/

I am going to try and get my butt out of the door later for a run.

We are off to the cinema to see a free preview of the penguin surfing film 'Surfs up' not sure if it will be any good - but it's a free morning out though :-D

I did snap this in the garden though for Picturethon... the sun's already out.

The early bird gets some miles

With another yet pants nights sleep in the bag, I decided that I couldn’t stand laying in bed any longer and got up for a run.

But being the procrastinator that I am I booted up my Mac to check my emails before heading our. Kate had posted a comment about me beating her mileage… that was enough to see me out of the door quick sharp (got to get more miles in before she catches up). I had another brilliant run (2 in a row) it’s bound to go wrong tomorrow - I’ve got to try and do a 13 miler before leaving our house at 9.30am.

On a side note - has anyone of you guys got a Nintendo DS? They are ace - I’ve had mine for a year or so and recently started playing boggle on it - now I can’t put it down (Star Wars Lego is ace too).

Speaking of Star Wars - the small person and I are going to visit a mate next Saturday who has just got a lovely new 42” LCD TV, and we are going to watch all 6 movies back to back… 13.5 hours of Star Wars ekk!, we have to get to his for 8.00am.

Well we’re off now to visit a cat breeders so fingers crossed we might find a house mate.

The cats out of the bag...

This is an artists rendition of the purrfect little edition that we want to make to the family. We are after a cat, more to the point a lovely little Sphynx one alot like this one. It's turning out to be harder to find a kitten than we thought - but hopefully we should have a cheeky little chap by the end of the year.

On the running front I managed a 5 miler today - and it was one of those fantastic run. It just got better and better, wished they all could be like that.
