Time stops for no one

fed him. Run or no run? Run I decided. Headed out and man was it hard sweaty work. 7 miles later saw me running back up the lane.

Today has been spent preparing for next weeks holiday, sorting out car stuff, money stuff, looking at HUGE spiders, cleaning the house and liberating the rabbit. We have moved Tabs to a corner of the garden and added an extra run at the front of her home (she has always had a big one at the back...no double entendres intended). The plan is to allow her to free range the garden in a few months time :-D

After that I cleaned the kitchen and made pizza dough for the girls, just cooked it for them and it smells nice - I'm off food at the moment, gotta love a cold.

See ya all soon.

Morning!

Day 126, originally uploaded by jogger164.

For some reason I couldn't sleep last night so decided to get up early and go for a run. I did 7 miles, I was going to do more but managed to twist my ankle.

Didn't anyone tell the weather Gods that it's a bank holiday Monday - It's still HOT.

The car boot sale on Saturday went well (very tiring though) and we raised some much needed cat funds. The rest of the weekend has been spent cleaning, going to the tip, cutting lawns, washing cars, horse riding, jogging, fitting doors and a little drinking.

Thursday running

Another day another dollar - Well busy again at work :-/ But I've got next Monday off to take the SP out for a Daddy daughter day... can't wait.

Speaking of the SP - she is feeling a lot better today, and would like to say thanks for all the well wishes she received.

Managed to run 7 miles today which helped cheer me up :-D

The early bird gets some miles

With another yet pants nights sleep in the bag, I decided that I couldn’t stand laying in bed any longer and got up for a run.

But being the procrastinator that I am I booted up my Mac to check my emails before heading our. Kate had posted a comment about me beating her mileage… that was enough to see me out of the door quick sharp (got to get more miles in before she catches up). I had another brilliant run (2 in a row) it’s bound to go wrong tomorrow - I’ve got to try and do a 13 miler before leaving our house at 9.30am.

On a side note - has anyone of you guys got a Nintendo DS? They are ace - I’ve had mine for a year or so and recently started playing boggle on it - now I can’t put it down (Star Wars Lego is ace too).

Speaking of Star Wars - the small person and I are going to visit a mate next Saturday who has just got a lovely new 42” LCD TV, and we are going to watch all 6 movies back to back… 13.5 hours of Star Wars ekk!, we have to get to his for 8.00am.

Well we’re off now to visit a cat breeders so fingers crossed we might find a house mate.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

PS my iPod was rocking this morning : Johnny Cash, The Cure, Kirsty MacColl, The Killers and a hint of The 5 o’clock Heroes.

A quick shower then out for ice skating.

Back home - Cut the lawns, and some other boring jobs.

Now getting ready to go out to a night at the museum - not the film but a late night visit to Newstead abbey :-D photos to follow.

Happy blogday to me...

With all the commotion at home these days I forgot to mention last Friday that it was my blogs first year blogday :-D

I can't believe I've managed to keep writing for a year. I'm not the world's best at putting my thoughts down in words - I never paid attention at school in English, favouring to sit and day dream and doodle (which worked out ok 'cause that's what I do for a living now).

But I would like to say "Thanks" to everyone who stops by and helps keep me motivated to keep on jogging and blogging. Also from the webstats I know loads of people read but never comment - It would be great to hear from you :-D

On the running front, unlike jogblog I woke up to an amazing spring like morning and went for a 7 miler around the village. I will put in another 2 on the tread mill to make my mileage up to 25 this week. I seem to be struggling to push it up any further at the moment - hopefully when home life settles down a bit I can put some more miles in.

Well that’s it for now - look out for “salsa gate” posting later ;-)

Sunday Seven

I did my longest run so far on the treadmill, seven miles :-D

That puts my mileage this week at 25 - I want to hit at least 30 next week. I also need to look for a race to enter, a 10K or half.

Hope everyone is keeping well and fighting the cold bug that's going around again :-/

Lazy Weekend

It's been a rather lazy weekend :-) No trips to the hospital (he goes back in next week), No shopping, No work and not too many chores (they all got put on hold - apart from washing the car).

What we have been doing is playing board games, chilling out and watching some movies (Crank, Nacho Libre, spider-Man 2 and Cars)

Crank was a real good laugh :-) I didn't really want to watch it - my wife likes Jason Statham for some reason ;-) but I'm not convinced his movies are that great (apart from the early stuff). This film was 1.5 hours of mindless entertainment... but be warned, the ending is pants.

Nacho Libre was good as was Spider-Man :-) Cars was ok, but even the little person lost interest half way through.

That's enough of the Barry Norman.

Managed to go for another run this morning :-D 7 miles and avoided the rain again. Got back from that and took the small person down to the pool. She is in the local swimming club/team and has drills 2 nights a week and swims with school once a week, so it was nice to go for a swim with her - what a show off. She has got perfect form, I wished that I had been taught to swim properly at an early age :-/

That's my weekend round up :-) oh one last thing - I ordered a back pack from here after JogBlog made me need one.
