Juneathon™ Day 30 - It's all over

:-)

Time for a well earned rest all round. Got my butt out of bed for one last time this Juneathon™ and for a change it was raining. Plodded around for a 10 miler. So all in all I've done 144miles this month :-D the most I've ever run in a month.

Well who won then? I know I didn't I had a few days off ill - who exercised everyday in June then? post a comment and let the world know who is the winner of the grand Juneathon™ no prize.

What's next? Well Bear and Jogblog are on about a Lardathon in July... I'm up for it, just need the rules on what we are meant to do.

Juneathon™ Day 26

Things have been wet wet wet up north this last 2 days. But that didn't stop the God of Juneathon and I taking a lunchtime jog.

All started well (I remembered to super strap up my arm), but once we headed down near the river things started to go a bit pete tong.

A woman heading our way on a push bike announcing that it was slightly damp down the path. Not put off we waded through about 2 foot of water from the burst river and carried on running for another mile or so. Getting to the railway bridge we were met with chest high water - Preston wanted to carry on, but I pointed out my arm might not allow me to monkey swing my way under, so we turned around and finished our cheeky 4 miles.

I hope everyone is ok and dry out there - if not hope it sorts out asap for you guys.

I'm going to try and get up and slap a 10 miler in the face of juneathon in the morning before work.

Not much of a run today - I'm well tired out from nit sleeping :-/ and the weather LOL wet or what.

Managed a 2 miler - will try and get out for 5 tomorrow :-D still 5 days to go. I really wanted to put in about 150+ miles this month... I hate injuries! I hope I can slap down another 25 by the end of Juneathon™.

Juneathon™ Day 24

I Strapped my arm up tighter than a gimp at a bondage party this morning and went out for a run.

Not being able to put in the miles has been doing my head in, so I made the most of it and managed a very very wet 10 miles.

Typing with one hand is doing my head in - sorry for not commenting that much at the moment, as soon as I get my trained monkey to help with my keyboard short cuts I promise to be back to my old self.

Have a good rest of the weekend.

PS - I haven't had a drink for ages..eeeeeek!

Juneathon™ Day 21

Update - 11pm and just got in from London... tired, managed to walk around 4 mile :-)

Look at me - 2 days and no sleep... ERROR.

I haven't even managed a nap today/last night. My wrist is bl**dy killing me, it has spread to the otherside and into my hand. I have just got back from the hospital - all they could give me were some pain killers but not even the strongones (as it's the middle of the night don't you know).

I can go back this morning for some stronger onesif I want - but seeing as I'm going to be in Canary Wharf at 11, I can't see me getting to the hospital.

There's no way that I can run today - just walking makes me want to cry... so i'll strap on a pedometre and count my steps.

Robo Arm (Day 96)

Look at my lovely splint :-)

Juneathon™ Day 20

Last night was fun - couldn't sleep very well, so at about 4 I gave in and got up and took some pain killers :-)

They seemed to help, so I thought that I might as well get out and do a run before work. Once I was out and running it wasn't too bad - and I even put in a midweek 8 miles before 6.30am :-)

Now all that is left to do is try and make it through the day.

PS - i'll post a picture of my lovely wrist support once my camera plays ball.

Juneathon™ Day 19

A quick trip to the hospitals A&E ward on the way to work this morning was called for. My wrist had kept me up most of the night, and there was no way I could get in to see our Dr this morning.

Surprisingly I got seen straight away :-D The verdict = Tendonitis/RSI. Joy! I'm sporting a lovely splint and eating anti-inflammatory drugs. Hopefully normal service will resume soon. I was told to rest it up, so I'm now kind of typing one handed.

New Hello Kitty’s will be put on hold until I can move my wrist again.

That said I took of the strap of doom and went out for a run...eek! My wrist hurt. But I did 5 miles in the sun.

Another Monday and another run sans Preston. Packed in a 5 miler. I'm typing this mono handed, my left wrist has swollen up and set :-/ not sure what's up. Perhaps it's the 20 years of using a mac - and keyboard short cutting... will see how it goes.

Juneathon™ Day 17

Another day another run :-) My legs are really starting to feel tired... 13 days to go then a day or 2 off.

Apart from running we went a car booting this morning, and then the normal Sunday chores. We then all had our Face painted by the funsized person - good isn't it :-D I think I'll keep it on for work.

Kate/Sore Limbs (combo)

I have just got back from school, yes school. It was parents evening. LOL! we had to sit on little seats in front of the teacher... schools smell.

Anyways - hope your all keeping well, off for a training wine.

Juneathon™ Day 11. Back to it today - A scorching hot 5 miles (and that was just the weather) I really enjoyed it but it left me feeling tired out.

I got a couple of new tunes on the iPod:

  • Marilyn Manson - Eat Me, Drink Me.
  • My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade.
  • Beastie Boys - Ill Communication.

:-) all good.

Tree house and Juneathon™ day 10

The weather has been lovely today :-) NICE.

We have spent the day cleaning out the garage (where did all that rubbish come from?) - checking the tent for mice damage (no new nibbles found) and taking junk to the tip.

I managed to get out for a quick run - nothing major as I'm still feeling pants.

Juneathon is still running wild up north though - I'll be back on it 100% tomorrow. :-)

Star Wars update - we are now watching the new ones - the small person now wants to go as Princess Leia when we got trick or treating at Disney in October.

PS - the tree house has now been cleaned out and even fitted with some carpet that we found in the garage, I want one...

Little Bird Feeder

Can 3 (Day 87)

Well dragged myself out for a slow run this morning - I couldn't stand being the odd one out amongst you lot ;-). The weather was just right early on for a run, warmish but still misty fresh. Where does all the snot come from when you have a cold? I wished it would stay there!

Apart from this mornings run - We have chilled out most of the day today apart from watching the small persons ice skating lesson this morning.

Then we have been sat in the shade painting. I did a couple more rabbit cans and the young 'un did a bird feeder (I'll take a picture in a minute to post).

Thanks for all the get well wishes the other day, nice to be missed :-P

Jogger Bloggers broken...

Haven't been well for the last few days :-( and I don't like being ill - hopefully it will go ASAP!

Juneathon™ Day 7 didn't happen - stayed in bed and felt sorry for myself

Juneathon™ Day 8 the only exercise I had was walking to the chemist shop in the village.

Hope everyone else is keeping the Juneathon™ going strong.

I'll be back.

Photo of the day :-) a tiny, tiny Eeyore.

Juneathon™ Day 6

Can it be day six already? It's flying past. I feel rough as a badger today; I think I must have swallowed some sand paper yesterday.

But not being one to buckle under pressure a run HAD to be done and don't faint Preston came out for a run :-D The weather didn't let us down - very sunny and hot. We managed a fly ridden 4 miles.

Preston says that he has been running and did one last night; I'm not sure. I think we will need to strap him to the lie detector sometime soon.

Hope everyone else is still enjoying the daily activities :-D

Bananas (Day 83)

These have to be the worlds smallest bananas, they are about one and a half inches long...

Juneathon Day 5

Man, another day another run. It's harder than it sounded 5 days ago. But dragged myself out (on my own I hasten to add - Preston went to the pub) and did 5 miles in the English sunshine.

My legs and head are still having a tough time getting used to doing 5 miles instead of 4 at a go - but I will win, they will be beaten.

Off in a minute to try and get to the pool for my daughters swimming club, wished I was going in as well instead of sitting watching.

Preston says to let you all know that he will be out running later ;-)

Juneathon Day 4

Well day 4 of the Juneathon and I still haven't actually been for a run with Preston yet, he has been in London for a long weekend. I will check up on how he has been doing tomorrow - and drag him out for a jog.

Today I managed another 5 mile trek through the flies - eew, they seem to be everywhere at the moment.

I haven't had a chance to take my pic of the day yet - will do in a bit.

How's everyone else doing?

Juneathon Day 3

Another early start thanks to the funsized alarm clock.

So to make the most of the hot weather we made our way over to the local car boot. I couldn't believe my luck when I saw the above cap - I had to have it and 10p I couldn't say no (the skull is Dean we've had him for years).

I'm going to hang out undercover at the local store and be rude to B&Q customers for JogBlog.

As for Juneathon - I'd just like to say Hi to everyone who is taking part, seems like just about everyone is :-) cool!

It seems to be helping keep me motivated - after doing the usual Sunday chores I really didn't want to go out and run, but I had to. I did a 4 miler around the village. Hope everyone has a good run...

Flower (Day 80)

Not sure what the flower in the picture is but we have a load of them growing outside the bathroom at the moment (not indoors I hasten to add).

Well Day 2 of the Juneathon dawned and I dragged myself out of the pit for a cheeky early morning run. I had a really nice run, the weather was cool with a low mist hanging about which soaked me through.

The locals were friendly as well - a couple of horses came running over to say hi as I headed up a dirt track :-) so I had to stop and chat with them for a while.

Managed to do 10 miles.

We are getting ready to go and see Pirates 3 now (well apart from Mrs JoggerBlogger who is really feeling ill and wants us out the house for the day).

Hope everyone has a great weekend - and hope the run goes well tomorrow JogBlog :-)

Pinch punch first run of the month.

Well to launch the extravaganza that is juneathon I braved the lovely weather and did a 5-mile run. That extra cheeky mile hurt more than I thought that it would, funny because I run a lot further at the weekends – must be that I’m used to doing 4’s mid week.

How did everyone else get on then?
